TB1428 FMA Integrated Head Protection System Helmet(IHPS)
l The Integrated Head Protection System Helmet (IHPS) is an integrated head protection system developed by the United States starting in 2013. It is the latest combat helmet developed for ground units, aiming to replace the previous generation ACH and ECH helmets. It is a subsystem of the Soldier Protection System (SPS) under PEO Soldier and made its first appearance on the battlefield in Iraq in 2019. In its debut year, it saved a soldier from being injured by a brick, which is an important feature of this helmet.
l The focus of the helmet is not only on enhancing its ballistic performance but also on enhancing its overall impact protection. The helmet body is fixed with a boltless design, relying on only three extremely small holes to secure accessories, thus improving the integrity of the helmet. It can accommodate pick-up and noise-canceling headphones while fitting closely to the head, which is a great design feature.
l As the culmination of the latest war experience in the United States, the IHPS has a considerable carrying capacity as a multi-functional platform. Its dedicated face shield and visor design meet the diverse needs of US ground units.
l The integrated head protection system (IHPS) helmet launched by FMA perfectly reproduces some excellent features of the IHPS helmet, achieving a thickness of 7mm with high-performance ABS material and minimal perforations, providing users with strong impact and riot protection. The new type of rails on both sides of the helmet do not compromise on carrying capacity, allowing for the attachment of all accessories within the SPS system. Additionally, a detachable Picatinny rail is designed to install all standard accessories required by users. The front accessory mounting base is compatible with standard specifications of night vision bases, including standard accessories for PVS-14 or L4G24. The base extends with an elastic cord and buckle, providing important support for the stability of equipment.
l The design of the helmet cover of the IHPS helmet is also extremely ingenious. Four pieces of IR invisible reflective modules (cat eyes) are directly integrated into the helmet cover, with a shading function. The sides and top of the helmet cover feature popular large Velcro patches, which can be used to attach identification badges or survival lights. The large area of Velcro on the back of the helmet cover can be used to attach any equipment or identification systems as per the user's needs.
